This covers the website only. The Saverick platform, kits and Store are not available yet. Separate terms will apply to those at launch, and we will ask you to agree to them then.

Saverick is building for classrooms, which means we will one day handle children's data. We have written this to be read, not survived.

Who we are

Saverick, operating from Africa. For anything here, write to hello@saverick.africa.

What we collect

This is a pre-launch site. The only personal data we collect is what you type into a form:

  • Your email address — so we can tell you when we launch.
  • Your name — so we are not writing to a stranger.
  • Which group or volunteer route you chose, and optionally your country and organisation, so what we send is relevant.

The server also records the page you came from with your signup. Your IP address is not stored alongside it — it is used only as a salted hash to rate-limit abuse, and that hash expires within the hour.

What you type into Saverick Assist is matched against our catalogue in your own browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

Our lawful basis

Consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as joining.

Where it goes

Entries are written to a file on our own server, outside the public web root. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to third parties for their own purposes.

There is no analytics service, advertising pixel or third-party tracker on this site. Webfonts are served from our own domain rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you visited. The one exception is described under Cookies and storage below, and you can turn it off.

Cookies and storage

We set no cookies at all. Two items live in your browser's own storage, and neither leaves your device: the theme you picked, and a note that you have already seen the loading screen this visit. We cannot read either of them.

One request is optional, and it is the only thing our cookie dialog decides. The animated diagrams load their player from Cloudflare's CDN, which discloses your IP address to Cloudflare. Choose Essential only and we never make that request — you get the still diagrams, and nothing else changes. Your answer is kept in the same local storage, and you can change it from in the footer of any page.

How long we keep it

Until we launch and have told you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project does not go ahead, we delete the list.

Children

These forms are for adults: parents, teachers, hub leaders, volunteers and supporters. Please do not submit a child's details. When the platform launches, under-13 accounts will be created by a parent or school, will have no private messaging, and will see only moderated content.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@saverick.africa and we will act within 30 days. African data-protection law applies to us, and we intend to meet it in every country we operate in.

Not legal advice. This was drafted to be honest and readable, not by a lawyer. Have it reviewed before launch, and certainly before any child creates an account.

Cookies and storage

Saverick sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or trackers. Two things are kept in your own browser and never leave your device: the theme you pick, and a note that you have already seen the loading screen.

One thing is optional. Our animated diagrams load their player from Cloudflare's CDN, which tells Cloudflare your IP address. Turn that off and you get the still diagrams instead — everything else on the site works exactly the same.

You can change this any time from the footer. Privacy notice Terms
