The canvas
Drag, drop and code
in your mother tongue.
Studio is where every build begins. Learners snap together blocks written in their own language, watch the equivalent text code appear beside them, and move to Python or C++ when they are ready.
What it does
- Block canvas for motion, sensors, logic, loops, variables, sound, lights and IoT
- Side-by-side code: every block program shown live as Python, MicroPython or C++
- Switch language mid-program — the same logic reads in Kiswahili, then English
- Speak to the canvas: "move forward twenty" adds the block
- One-click run in Sim or on a kit connected through Link
- Custom blocks published by teachers and partners through the SDK
In detail
Picture blocks
Icon-only blocks for learners who cannot yet read fluently.
Read-aloud
Every block and instruction can be read aloud in the chosen language.
Step and watch
Run one block at a time and watch variables and sensors change.
Built on Blockly
Google's open-source Blockly, extended with our language packs and code generators.
What it won't do
Stated here so nobody discovers it after buying a kit.
- Language packs are written and reviewed by native-speaker panels, so a new language takes months, not days.
- C++ generation is desktop-only; the web edition does Python and MicroPython.
